Can we use my spare VPS to add peers

I am new to torrent technology.

And I am installing PeerTube tomorrow.

But:

One thing I notice is one has to hit the play button - a lot.

I am guessing that has to do with the lack of peers watching the video.

Question: Can I use my spare VPS to help with the peer situation?

I’m not sure this is related to the lack of peers. On which instance, and which videos do you have this problem? What is your web browser?
