Peertube, pixelfed, mastodon & other : fediverse

Hello !

I found this page showing availability of tools on the fediverse : https://fediverse.info/

Basicly the strength of the fediverse for me is interconnection and the fact that only one account on activitypub whatever the instance could be connected to others.

I’d like to know if we can follow a mastodon or pixelfed accound and following there content on my own peertube instance/server ?

If not, do you think it’s planned ? Because mastodon is clearly the place where peoples are, and I don’t want two different account to be able to follow mastodon peoples (I need peertube as I’m a videographer). That the core idea of the fediverse, from what I understand !

If there is a way, I’d love to get a wiki / tuto or a hint to find the way, I’ve dig into that forum and fediverse wiki without success !

Thank you !

Did not tried this yet but you can subscribe to a channel via any ActivityPub-cabable fediverse instance (inkluding Mastodon or Pleroma), according to the ‹ ? › info when clicking a channel subscribtion button.

Ah maybe it’s there now. I’ll try right now.

But the question is : "how to get the ‹ feed › of followed instances or account ?
Do you know if it could be solved by a pluggin ? (I’ve no knowledge in coding, just hope a lambda guy would wanna do it ^^')

You cannot follow a Mastodon account on Peertube.

The way it works is if a Mastodon user sees a video on the timeline and they reply to it with a post, that post will show up as a comment underneath the video on the peertube instance.
