I’m currently working with PeerTube and want to understand how it handles video transcoding. Specifically, I’m looking for the default video bitrates that PeerTube uses when it generates different resolution versions (like 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, etc.) after upload.
It would be helpful to know:
- The default video bitrates assigned to each resolution
- Whether these bitrates are fixed or dynamically adjusted
- If and how they can be customized
- If there’s a recommended bitrate range for optimal streaming quality without excessive file size
