Does the difference between activities and events make sense to people? Maybe it’s a language-thing, but I had to read the documentation to understand the difference, and when I’ve been asked about this by some users, I’ve had to look it up again, because I can’t really explain why there’s a separation.
At least, I think the creation function should be combined. I mean, there’s no difference, as far as I can see, and when you create as an individual it’s already combined.

Activities were created to address two points:
-some users were creating events from jan 2025 to dec 2099 to appear in the agenda. Generally speaking, events that last several months are challenging to display in the agenda on the homepage.
-some organizations want to advertize for their all year round activities
Technically, an event created for a long period will be displayed in the activity section (if setup by the instance admin)/
I think there should be some finetuning to make those "activities” more intuitive to understand. If you have ideas or other comments, feel free to share them
