Are p2p federated live broadcasts supported?

If yes, how is this possible? I just checked live video with 5 peers.
How does PeerTube seed chunks of video between peers?
That means like a regular video, if it has 10k viewers it won’t make any load, reachability issues on server, users will seed to each other?(I mean default standalone peertube server without reverse nginx proxy).
What is the delay for live video on this case?
Didn’t find any faq about this.

In recent versions of Peertube (since 4.2.0 I think), you can choose for each live the «latency mode»:
