Hi -
I was referred to peertube in discussion with someone about trying to find alternatives to youtube, particularly because youtube arguably has poor moderation in the discussion areas around videos (i.e.: they privately censor with a heavy hand that stifles legitimate discussion).
I’m a viewer, not a creator. In fact I pay youtube/google the $10 per month or whatever it is so I can watch many videos every week. To my surprise, when I went to find a way to sign up or log in or some-such (so that I could hit a thumbs-up on a video I liked), I was sent immediately off into a different area. I did try to choose one channel, just as an example, but don’t recall seeing a signup there either. Is this a matter of needing to sign up for each channel individually, or is there something else going on here?
Before I give up, can anyone clarify for me what this is about? Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but I just can’t seem to find an answer so far.
Thanks,
jlaz
