This can not be done without modifying the underlying software manually (which will probably break when you update on your setup). The best way IMHO is to maintain a fork of the project with your changes and build the project yourself

I think we should try to code that into Mobilizon - have a free space on the homepage where one could put a simple post with text formatting and pictures should be doable.
Everybody would benefit from it.

I agree. I come from Drupal and there is a concept of data collections called views that is very configurable and allows you to define pages and blocks (among other things). And you can then define where those blocks will be shown. That’s just an idea.
