There’s been some discussion in the Matrix channel about updating the documentation to emphasize this forum as the primary support and discussion channel for the Mobilizon project.
There have been a couple of ideas bounced around about how to do that, but really when it comes to project level decision-making I think it would be better to do here, and of course in the issues board for the documentationon repo on Framagit.
In any case I’m opening this topic for that discussion.
For myself there are some internationalization things that I’d like to fix. Mass nouns are tricky, being different in almost every language that supports them, and there are some of those which are incorrectly plural in the documentation as well as in the interface.
So would it be better to file an issue for each? Would it be better to use Frama Weblate?
The last time any of us checked Weblate was not working, but I will check again. For the other stuff I’ve been trying to direct people from Matrix over here.
One thing that’s been bugging me is discoverability of basic links throughout the project sites.
Notably this forum doesn’t seem to be linked anywhere except on the “Contribute” page of the documentation - even as a software developer myself that’s not exactly a place I’d look for, much less even a user looking to discuss or requiring help. For the longest time I didn’t know this forum existed, and whenever I wanted to visit I typically had to crawl through my emails to look up the URL in my registration mail because I couldn’t find the URL anywhere else anymore.
Any chance the links from Contributing to Mobilizon - Mobilizon could be copied to Mobilizon ? That would help discoverability a lot, in addition to relabeling the “About” link to something like “About & Support”.
