Feature request : Be able to create a new event by importing it from a connected calendar (or ics file)

Hi, Here is a feature request, may be there is a better place to post it, but I don’t know where.

I feel it would be helpful to have the possibility to create in one click an event copied from my online calendar Framagenda or else. May be a mobile app would be required, I don’t know, if not it would be much better.
If not possible yet, uploading an ics file to mobilizon could also allow to copy quickly an already existing event in my calendar, and create a new event into a group in mobilizon.

This would be very useful because i see that many people don’t want to spend time creating events, and therefore don’t do it…

I see the huge potential of Mobilizon and hope we’ll manage to make it used broadly

I didn’t manage to make it work and import events into my keskonfai.fr account it asks me about my federated identity and I’m not sure what it is (as mentionned in Comment connaitre mon adresse Mobilizon, pour pouvoir la transmettre à quelqu'un qui veut me suivre? - #3 par Nicotourist )

I get the following error :

would there be more detailed instructions, or even a video of how to proceed ?

There was an issue due to some change in the Mobilizon API since version 5.1.4.

This issue has been fixed.

Keskonfai Importer instance has been updated to the last version.

Please retry.

Yes, it has been working fine for a few times, but now bugging again…

and by the way, it allows to re-post an event posted on mobilizon (by pasting in the importer the SHARE link of the mobilizon event. This is so usefull that I hope this possibility will be added to mobilizon core functions, to make it realy simple and fast).

I confirm it doesn’t work anymore…
I manage to connect to https://import.mobilizon.fr/ and my account is shown logged in, but I cant select any destination (although I have a group existing)

And it is also possible to add a mobilizon event by pasting its event URL.

However I can’t add an event by providing a link to an ICS file… I suppose that is asking too much… may be some day there will be a button to provide such an ICS file and create a mobilizon event from it… (that would allow to duplicate something which is on my personal agenda for instance)

That will solve that thread
