Following from Mastodon pending

I’ve created a Mobilizon server/instance and created an open group. When I try to follow that group from my Mastodon account it says that the following request is pending. It’s more than 24 hours since I did the follow request.

In the group settings - Followers, there is nothing, whether I choose pending or not.

The same pending status happens if I try to follow my Mobilizon user.

Are there some settings, or something else, I’m missing? According to the documentation it should be possible to follow groups: Follow activities through the federation - Mobilizon

I remembered that I have another Mastodon account, and when using that, following my Mobilizon group works fine.

both Mastodon servers use the same Mastodon version.

I’ve tried to unfollow and refollow multiple times with my regular Mastodon account, but it doesn’t show up in the group following list.

It seems like the problem is with the Mastodon instance. I’ve tried to follow groups on other servers as well, and the same happens.
