Hello I would like to use Framagroupes for a group in Ireland (English speaking). When I subscribe a new email address, the subscriber gets an email mostly in French. Also the footer of every email the subscriber gets is in French:
However, I went to the email templates section, and the email templates are in English.

But somehow the actual emails sent out are still in French.
Hope you can help as I would love to use Framagroupes for an English speaking group.

Have you considered the configured language of your group ? Look at « Edit List Config » → « List definition » → « Language of the list »

Hi sorry I thought this issue was solved but it is not completely solved. After changing the language setting to English, the welcome message changed to English, but the footer on each email is in both French and English now:
The email header and footer templates are blank. Hope you can help! Would prefer to have English only.

Unfortunately, we can’t. As it’s written in the (french) documentation part.
« You cannot modify the footer; instead, you’re allowed to add your own upon the existing one »

Thanks for your reply. It might be an idea to have a feature to allow this to be language specific depending on the setting of the list? You could still fix what text appears, but just allow the language to be adjusted?
