"Friendly Reminder..."-information/warning

On some servers, I see this message in the bottom of the page, when opening a video:

Friendly Reminder: the sharing system used for this video implies that some technical information about your system (such as a public IP address) can be sent to other peers.

How can I enable this message for my server? I can’t seem to find it in the settings, nor as a plugin.

It would be best if the note also included information on how to turn off p2p, or even better, if it was possible to accept or reject p2p: User consent for p2p · Let’s improve PeerTube!

It’s a bit surprising that nobody seems to know how to enable this, when so many servers seems to have it, and it also looks like it’s part of the Peertube code.

If you already clicked « OK », the message is not displayed again (info saved in your web browser). Try in private mode?

So it’s actually enabled by default? I didn’t know that.

But I’ve tried what you suggest, before and now, and also deleted browser data. I still don’t get the popup for https://peertube.ra.no. It does, however, work for other sites (that is, getting the popup back with this method).

The P2P tracker, and so P2P, is disabled on your instance. So there’s not point to display this message.

Ah! I missed that setting in the config file. I thought it was enough to set p2p to enabled. Now that I have enabled tracker as well, I get the popup.
