On my public instance tube.reseau-canope.fr, registration is closed and only employees of the public company can have an account.
And commenting is disable.
So how can I hide the comment section below each video ?
Even better for instance which mix video with and without comment : how could we activate this section only when commenting is allowed ?

Et nous avons désactiver les commentaires de façon général sur l’instance.
Comment faire pour masquer la section commentaire sous chaque vidéo (puisque toujours vide) ?
Et encore mieux si on se projette sur une fonctionnalité qui pourrait servir à d’autre : comment faire pour avoir par exemple un réglages permettant d’afficher ou masquer cette section selon que les commentaires ont été autorisés ou interdits pour ladite vidéo ?

You could also maybe do it by adding javascript (in admin settings => configuration => advanced) to the my-video-comments section but you would have to handle DOM dynamically generated.
Tu pourrais aussi ajouter ton propre JavaScript (dans les paramètres administrateurs => configuration => avancé) pour cacher la section my-video-comments mais il faudra traiter le DOM généré dynamiquement.
I don’t find any extension in the addons list (you can find it in your admin pannel or on PeerTube Extension Finder) when I type « comment » so I think no one made such a solution already. Sorry!
