After asking some questions over the last few weeks to do my due diligence, I want to explore the approach of not using PeerTube for my video project. Therefore I would like to ask this video player expert community some questions about video streaming.

We use a custom version of p2p-media-loader but we’ll try to move to the official project since they released a new version recently.
Oh, that was a coincidence! I was hoping you would know about P2P Media Loader because of the development in that area, not because PeerTube uses exactly that tool! Great!
Why does PeerTube use its own custom version? Are there many problems with this tool? How satisfied are you with this tool in general?
I am also interested in P2P livestreaming. Is there a real bandwidth advantage? I don’t understand whether this is really possible because all users want the same data at the same time. So is there time to P2P distribute an ongoing livestream? One solution to the problem I thought of is to skip some users 5-30 seconds back, but that might not be a plesant for esport events, etc.
