Import and Sync from Youtube - still working?

Hi, today with Peertube v7.0.1 I’ve tried to import a video from Youtube, and then to sync an entire channel. Both failed.
From what I see in the log, it’s seems to be related to yt-dlp being unable to download in the background.

Here are some extract of the messages :

ERROR: [youtube] VUz_RMp7o_k: Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot. Use --cookies-from-browser or --cookies for the authentication. See https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/wiki/FAQ#how-do-i-pass-cookies-to-yt-dlp for how to manually pass cookies. Also see https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/wiki/Extractors#exporting-youtube-cookies for tips on effectively exporting YouTube cookies

The Peertube doc here or here says nothing about particular settings.

Searching the web, I’ve seen mention of the need of a proxy. But I guess it’s maybe some issue regarding Google blocking yt-dlp from time to time.

Now my questions  :

  1. could someone confirm if import/sync from Youtube still works ? (and how they manage it)
  2. if not right now, could we hope for the return of the features (and if so, what are we waiting for : an update of yt-dlp and I guess of Peertube too ?)
  3. if this « cat and mouse » game demands too many works for the Peertube team, should we think about removing it from Peertube (right now users are frustrated and don’t understand why they click the button and nothing happen  )

Thanks for your feedbacks and thoughs about it.
