I am new to the platform. Started uploading videos around 4 months ago. I recently uploaded videos March 2025 got a notification stating « with the right code someone can find your IP address ». Which is disturbing that the information can be found on a public video platform. I have tor browser to hide my ip address but could not access website with Tor browser. Peer tube should allow Tor browser to be used by creators to protect themselves from exposing IP address. Peer tube should have protections in place to hide content creators IP address. I was hoping this platform would be a better alternative to YOUTUBE. This is making me rethink should I even be using this platform. Peer tube needs to have a cyber security person. Things are getting worse with cyber attacks. Tor browser is free compared to using a paid VPN service.
I have associates who are in the cyber security field who can help. I do not know if they will do it for free or pay but if your interested let me know Peer Tube?
