Is it safe to use older plugins?

Hello Peertube Community, I was browsing the Plugins section for subscription and came across some options, but all of them have been updated a long time ago, like no updates in over 2 years.

Is it generally safe to use older Plugins?
Are Plugins checked for safty reasons prior to be listed?

Hi!

There is no safety check on plugins for now (since Framasoft by itself couldn’t have resources to do so, but it could be nice to have a community-driven project on this aspect).

So I would recommend you to check the code (if you have the knowledge to do so) or to ask the community about plugins you want to install so you can have their advices!
