Hi there,
My name is Ambar, I’m the new community facilitator at Framasoft. You’ll see me pretty often on this topic since I’ll be working mainly with the PeerTube community.
I’ll navigate around different communities : primarily PeerTube and Pollaris but also Framacolibri and Framaspace.
The missions are quite simple :
- Engage communities (boost contributions, handle the different topics, answer your questions, guide new users. . .)
- Manage Moderation on PeerTube (create a dedicated forum for PeerTube including topics, moderation rules and a moderation team, develop the international PeerTube community and many more. . .)
We will interact very often, and I cannot wait to get to know this community. I’ll begin with an extensive observation on the different forums, so I won’t post quite yet.
Some of you might know me already, I was an intern at Framasoft in 2023 with the collective CHATONS. I conducted a survey on the abilities and expectations of the collective at the turning point when Framasoft left the collective coordination. My internship report is available here (sorry French version only). Since then, I’ve been an active member of the collective, and I’m an occasional moderator on the forum.
After the internship I started volunteering at Framasoft doing mainly translation, taking part to various events and working with CHATONS.
Apart from that, I’m member of several associations/collectives, and I’m learning new languages. I’m kind of a noob, I do not have incredible technical abilities. I actually studied social sciences, but my subject researched always focused on tech and internet communities.
