P2P blocking seems to cause playback interruptions

A user of my server, https://glan.no, contacted me regarding that concurrent views of his video was causing the video to stop and load. We did some testing, and found out that this happened only when he was using a particular network - Eduroam, an « international Wi-Fi internet access roaming service ». What’s different about this network is that it blocks p2p traffic.

Is blocking of p2p something that is known to cause problems for PeerTube with p2p enabled? This is something that potentially could cause problems for a lot of students trying out PeerTube.

AFAIK no, blocking P2P traffic should not break the player loading. But we’ll upgrade our P2P library in next Peertube version (8.2, planned in a few weeks) so it may fix this issue with this particular user?
