Peertube for hosting video podcasts (error)

Hi there. I host a couple of podcasts using Peertube. Getting these into most podcasts apps works great. But it does not work for being listed on Spotify or Apple due to missing fields from the RSS feed. I have tried a couple other random channels on different servers and they come up with the same errors. See attached:

Funny part is, if I open the Apple podcasts app and add it via RSS, everything is hunkey dorey and it loads the image and everything!

Hi,

See Apple Podcast support · Issue #4734 · Chocobozzz/PeerTube · GitHub

I guess I should have added that I have that installed and configured already…

I think you need to verify your email address. But your admin must enable email verification on the platform first.

I am the admin and the email has been verified

Ah, it seems your don’t use the podcast feed URL: PeerTube

Okay. Thank you but I don’t know how to make sense of any of the information on this page. I’ve tried the subscription RSS feed as well as the one generated by the « podcast 2.0 » plugin (link show in the OP) and both provide the same error. So where would I find the correct feed?

now you can find the correct RSS feed under subscribe (you need to log out first)

but I still have the issue about the Art missing. can’t link a channel to a show…

Can you paste the link of your channel and the podcast feed?

I guess we should have the option to set an artwork from 3000 x 3000 pixels directly into peertube ?

did you get all the infos to reproduce the issue?

Sorry, I forgot to answer.

Try to re-upload your channel avatar, so makertube generates a 1500x1500 image. Let’s see if Apple accept it, or we’ll have to generate a 3000x3000 image on peertube side

hello,

thanks for your answer. unfortunately it’s not possible.

the max size for the avatar is 192x192px, 8MB

There’s no px limit, we’ll fix the sentence. You should be able to upload a file that have a size larger than 192x192

well I uploaded a 3000x3000px avatar and it worked !

I guess neither the size nor the weight of the picture are limited.
