PeerTube in the public sector

The Directorate of cultural heritage in Norway has had a PeerTube site for quite some time: https://peertube.ra.no. Since it wasn’t communicated anywhere it has been hidden from the general public, although it was discovered by Norwegian fediverse users.

This week, a link was finally added to the main webpage of the directorate, next to the links to Facebook, YouTube (where the videos are synced from), Instagram, etc. Maybe not a big deal, but it hasn’t been easy to make it happen, and I feel that it makes it way more official. Also, I think it is important for visibility and acknowledgement. It is too common for organizations etc. that have some fediverse account, not to link to those accounts - only the usual suspects.

In Norway, this is still rather unique. I’m not aware of any other examples of official accounts in the public sector, and certainly not PeerTube. Are there any similar PeerTube sites in other countries? It’s too bad the EU discontinued their PeerTube pilot project. However, I did find this site just now, owned by European Union Agency for Cybersecurity: https://videos.enisa.europa.eu

One related annoying thing is that it is not super easy to add a peertube icon to a website. Its not included in any of the “default” lists of social media platforms when using things like WordPress…

Yeah, it would have been nice if there were at least some ready-to-use icons, easy to adjust to the page design. Actually, I just found this: Peertube Icon SVG Code — Download Path / HTML

Since the list was only text from before (probably because one of the other links is missing an default icon), it wasn’t actually a problem:

Hi,

There is a press kit link in the footer of https://joinpeertube.org/

Thanks! It would be great if you could include black and white or grayscale icons as well. Icons in the footers of websites are often black and white.
