the current system of using peertube smtp emailing from the config seems to be broken. maybe peertube is not fully up to date with the new auth methods? i set up our outlook account to use app passwords, and configured the config in peertube that way, but it’s still getting an error that the authentication failed, and something about basic auth being disabled.

yeah I gave up and just used gmail, which works no issues.
somehow peertube is authenticating in a way microsoft doesn’t like
