Struggling with E-Mail delivery

First of all thanks to the devs and the community for mainting this project.

Everything works as expected so far, except for Mail delivery. For quite a while now I am struggling to set it up.

Installation: Release package
Versions: v5.2.4 and v5.2.5-RC.1

Current E-Mail related config:

I have tried all sorts of configuration options. With this config no errors are logged.

I am testing the E-Mail functionality with a password reset. When I hit ‹ Password Reset › this is logged:

GET /password-reset/send
Sent 200 in 6ms
POST /api
[info] Sent 200 in 7ms
[info] POST /api

I exclude network issues because this works:

echo "Test" | sudo mail -s "Test subject" "admin@freenet.de"

Could someone give me advice on that?
