I’m here to suggest a feature for Peertube syncronizations.
An option to set a number of videos to sync would be helpful. When a new video to sync arrives, the oldest one is automatically deleted. Also, for when creating a new sync there is another option between only new videos or the entire collection.
It would be wonderful, if that 3rd option would let users determine, how many clips the next fetch will dig into the past. Let’s say, i don’t want to import just one clip or the whole channel, it would be useful to specify a number of clips to go back: i can chose 10 clips for this, and the next import will get the 10 youngest clips of that resource.
There are a lot of website who block you if you download too many clips. If you had a playlist when being blocked, the whole procedure of trying to import every queue’d file can not be stopped, this is kind of ridiculous.
When looking which files failed and which succeeded, there should be selection boxes behind the failed ones, to select any and retry the import process at a later time. As of now, you have to manually click every link in the failed list and import it file by file by hand. This doesn’t feel right. There should be selection boxes and retry possibilities. And there should be a emergency stop to stop the queue from processing after the logs show an active blocking.
