I notice in the latest update news PeerTube v6.3 released! | JoinPeerTube it talks about and links the dead project youtube-dl which hasn’t been updated in 3 years. The fork of this project yt-dlp is actively maintained and works much better.

The name used in the news is youtube-dl (probably because the name is better known), but the binary provided is actually yt-dlp and has been the default for the last two years.
